NEPAL NOT TO SURRENDER
HER TERRITORIES

Kathmandu, April 19
The Chinese olaim on

of the Nepalese people
formed the eubjeot of a.
nou-offioial resolution in
the Nepaleie Parliament
today, thai providing
members another oppor-
tunity to debate the
issue.

The resolution which
was tabled by a Gorkha

Shuba Shamiher, io the
Senate, characterized Eve-
rest as an inseparable
part of Nepal."

The resolution pro-
voked the Prime Minister,
Mr. B P. Koirala, »o deo

over Everest will not be
referred to the boundary

of Nepal's northern front-
ier. Mr. Koirala said that

donation of surplus mili-
tary land and property
in the district and adjoi-

of ex-Servicemen's coope
rative society, speedy
implemention of the pro
posal to allot suitable
lands for ex-Servicemen's
resettlement, and benefit
of the new pension code
with retr speotive effect.

VOLLEY BALL
TOURNAMENT
Darjeeling, April 20
Twelve District* of
West Bengal took part
in the Inter District
Volley Ball Tournament at
Darjeeling from 15th to
17th April. The Districts
who participated are Dar-
jeeling, West Dinajpur,
Jalpaiguri, 24 Pargsnas,
Malda, Birbhum Burdwan
Nadia, 'Chandernagore,
Howrab, Hoogly, Bankura.
The I ournament was
inaugurated by Sri Ten
zing Norgay.

A variety programme
was also held tn entertain
the visiting teams and
other guests on 17th April,
at the Qorkha Dukba
Nivarak Sammelen Hall,
Darjeeling. Smt. Chat-
terjee, wife of the Chair-
man, Darjeeling Munici-
pality, gave away the
trophies to the partici-
pating teams. Replica of
Silver Khukries were
distributed as a memento
to enoh player who took
part in the tournament.

The tournament was
held in Darjeeling for
the first time and attract, d
a large number of en-
thusastic crowds every day.
The tournament was < r-
ganised under the aus-
pices of the Youth Wei.
