deposited into the Trea-
sury or Sub-Treaiury by
the suleoted tenderer
within 7 days of the
acceptance of hit lander
and the Treaeury challan
in duplicate must be pro-
duced to the undeieigned
before taking delivery of
the Cardamom. The entire
lot of Cardamon available
must be olaared from the
Plantation godown within
14 days of the acceptance
of his tender.

YATUNG LHASA ROAD

Tibetan refugees report
that the Chinese have
completed a motorable
road which enables one
to complete the journey
between Yatung and Lhasa
in a day. the original
Chinese-built road linking
Yatung with Lhasa' passed
through 8higat.se and it
normally took three to
four days to complete the
journey by jeep.
Formerly a mule track,
the new road goes straight
to Lhasa via Nangkurtsa
and is' strongly protected
and used only by military
vehicles.
The refugees also speak
of a new school for mili-
tary personnel now func-
tioning near Lhasa where
two Tibetan lady teaohers
trained in China give
lessons in Hindi and
Nepali.

has decided to take a
census of Tibetan nationals
living in India. The
Foreigners' Registration
Office has, from Novem-
ber IS, started ' enumera-
tion of all Tibetan na.
tionals in Darjeeliog Dis-
trict.
