A mile-long procession
of the Sikkini Na-
tional Congress that con

led by its President, Khzi
Lhendup DorjV-Khangsar-
pa of Chakung, pamded

today shouting sla^ans,

bold letters their Demands
for the framing of a writ-
ten Constitution, abolition
of communal voting, thw
abolition of Private and
Monastery Estates, the
establishment of a Res-
ponsible Government etc.
the procession eventually
turned into a mammoth
gathering, and a public
meeting took place winch

Kazi Lhendup Dorji-
Khungsarpa of ChaUhuntC
in his presidential speech
stated that.; in view of
the dark clouds hovering
over the whole Himalayan

has been gravely endan-
gered. He said that in

morale of the local popu-
lace at the highest level.
