INDO-PAK ACCORD

The news of Indo-
Pak agreement to settle
differences betwien the
two countries, have been
welcomed in ail quarters.
Prime Minister Nehru has
itated if there is good
will on both sideB, it will
be possible to work out
an honorable and equit-
able solution of this as
of other problems. Indias
stand on Kashmir is based
on two faolors. First she
ia not agreeable
to extend the two Nation
theory to the State Se-
condly she is averse of
any solution which might
again upset the settled
conditions now prevailing
in the State.

First of all the
talks will begin on Minis-
terial levels and it is
hoped efforts will be made
for early meeting between
President Ayub Khan &
Prime Minister Nehru.

INDIAN PRISONERS

New Delhi, De3. 1
The Indian Red Cross
received a cable today from
the Chinese Red Cross announ-
cing that 50 Indian soldiers
and three road builders, all of
them either sick or wounded,
would be handed over to In-
dian Red Cross representatives
at Bomdila on IJecemher 5,
says UNI.

The Indian Rod Cross De-
puty-Secretary, Mr. B. M. -Tolly,
said his organization was ma-
king arrangements to send
representatives to Bomdila. The
Chinese have announced that
they hold 927 Indian soldiers
as prisoner. The Indian Army
has not taken any Chinese
prisoners,
