Erste lateinische Bibel Jensons in seiner schönen gotischen Type mit
dem letzten Bl. „Registrum“, das meist fehlt. Außergewöhnlich reich ausgestattetes
Exemplar: zu Beginn des Textes eine Miniatur (56:55 mm) Gottvater sit-
zend, mit Weltkugel, Heiligenschein in Blattgold, Hintergrund goldgehöht, die
Initialen zu den einzelnen Büchern in Farben mit Gold, zu den Prologen
ebenso groß aber ohne Verwendung von Gold, zu den Argumenten kleiner u. einfacher.
Rubriziert, die übrigen Initialen in rot oder blau. Im Psalter u. N. Test, die Konkor-
danzen vom Rubrikator eingetragen. Der obere Rand teilweise braunfleckig, Einband
leicht beschädigt, im allg. jedoch gutes Exemplar. Angeb. 12 Bll. enthaltend die Texte
für die Predigten de tempore et de sanctis per totum annum, in rot u. schwarz von der
Hand des Rubricators .
Jenson’s firstLatin Bible, printed in a beautiful Gothic type; a complete
copy with an uncommon wealth of Ornament: a miniature, God the
Father sitting, in gold and colours, and 162 initials of various sizes in colours,
part of them with gold. The other capitals supplied in red or blue, rubricated throu-
ghout.
Top water-stained in parts, binding slightly damaged, otherwise a good copy. At
the end, 12 11. with the texts for the year’s sermons written in red and black by the
rubricator.
