Dieses mit ungeheurem Fleiß u. größter Gewissenhaftigkeit gearbeitete General-
register, ohne das das Riesenwerk des hl. Thomas nicht zu benutzen ist, wurde
seit Mitte des 16. Jh. gewöhnlich den Gesamtausgaben beigefügt, es ist a u c h h e u t e
nicht übertroffen. Der Verfasser starb 1482. Vorangeht eine kurze Anleitung
zur Benutzung. Aufzählung der Werke des hl. Thomas, dann folgen Approbationen
von Papst Urban III. u. a.
Typographisch bietet.das sehr sorgfältig gedruckte Buch durch die Unmenge
arabischer Ziffern ein höchst eigenartiges Bild. Mit Bl. 181 beginnt ein neuer
Setzerabschnitt. Das erste Bl. in rot u. schwarz.
Rubriziert, Initialen rot eingemalt. Tadellos sauberes, kaum beschnittenes Exemplar.
The indispensable General Index to the works of Thomas Aquinas, compiled
with the greatest accuracy, and reprinted as a Supplement in most of the later editions
of the works.
The author died in 1482. At the beginning an explanatory preface for the use of the
Index, then a list of the works of St. Thomas and the approbation by Pope Urban.
The striking appearance of the printed pages derives chiefly from the
countless arabic numerals in the text.
Rubricated, capitals supplied in red. Fine copy, nearly uncut, in its original stamped
binding, somewhat damaged.

Erste Ausgabe dieses merkwürdigen u. seiner Zeit sehr geschätzten Buches,
verfaßt vom bedeutendsten Bußprediger des 14. Jh. Es zerfällt in 3 Teile: De casu sive
ruina vitae spiritualis, de ruina dignitatis ecclesiasticae, de ruina fidei catholicae. Am
Ende: De duplicis antichristi adventu. Interessant die Vorwürfe gegen den
Klerus, dem so ziemlich alle Laster vorgehalten werden.
Schönes, frühes Erzeugnis des Erstdruckers von Treviso. „Alle seine
Druckwerke sind äußerst schlicht ausgestattet. Nur die vorzüglich gegossenen Typen
u. ein sehr akkurater Satz zeichnen sie aus“ (Haebler, Dt. Dr. i. A., S. 130).
Rubriziert, die einzige Initiale blau eingemalt. Leicht fleckig, oben kurzrandig.

fine early impression by the first Treviso printer, whose work „is distin-
guished by its good founts and excellent presswork“ (Haebler).
Rubricated, the only capital supplied in blue. Slightly stained, upper margins
cut close.
