In addition the European and Anglo-Indian community enlisted
in relatively large numbers in British units, in special machine-gun
corps, as despatch riders, and in other capacities. A good number
went out to Mesopotamia, East Africa, etc., as Engine drivers, Station
Masters, and in other capacities, thus in a manner doing the good
work done by Indian Labour Corps.
