Statue of the Black Prince,
by Mr. Thomas Brock,
R.A., is in the centre of
a raised circular platform,
about a hundred feet in
diametei, and is sur-
rounded by a balustrade-
of polished marble. On
this balustrade have been
placed eight. beautiful al-
legorical Hgures represent-
ing and Tlzw;.
These are used as lighting
Standards and are the
work of Mr. Alfred Drury,
