ANTHONY RAPHAEL MENGS.
7$
He did many Portraits of himself little less
than half figure, which he gave to his friends,
and among others to Don Bernardo de Yriarte.
He left imperfect the Portrait of Don Ame-
ricus Pini, Adjutant of the King's chamber, but
it wanted something of being finished. He
likewise began one of the Marquis de Llano, his
friend and mine.
These were sent to Rome to be finished,
as well as other works which are not mentioned
here, having remained very imperfect.
