From which I think I may be able to conclude,
that Raphael had exquisite Taste, little idea in
Design, in Colouring less, and in Clare Obscure
none. In general in Composition he had much
of the Ideal ; also in Expression, and likewise
much Beauty. From which one might deduce,
how much he ought to be praised in Composition,
Expression, and in the fymmetry of the bodies
of certain kinds of figures ; and one might also
deduce, that his Taste in Design was excellent,
and that he has opened the way to beautiful
drapery, although very little varied,
