these inscriptions.

receives the messengers of Nakon."

£7ri Trovrjpia,, " to the detriment; " so 7rovr)ptbg
eXstv, " to be badly off."

1. 7. I read ELjoo-oSJj'ou ; but the letter before the
final w seems more like A. This must be an error
of the scribe for O.
