Ibis work bas snkksred more tban any ok tbe otbers; its colours bave faded,
it bas been almost entirely repainted, and is covered witb stains, but, kor all tins,
we still recognise tbs master's band in many ok tbe beads.

Ibis cartoon was somewbat spoilt wben atbxed to canvas, especially on tbe
rigbt side. ^Ve rscognire lLapbael's band in retoucbes and corrections, but tbe
actual execution appears to belong to Benni.

B.apbael worked a great deal at tbis cartoon, and it is one ok tbe bnest ok tbe
series; tbs arcbitecturs in tbe background is especially beautiful.

tbs Holy Lpirit, in tbs korm ok a dove encircled witb golden rays, bovers above
tbs tbrone. Vivo angels on eitber side ok tbs tbrone are raising a curtain; and
lover down on tbe lekt ^sobn tbs Baptist stands pointing to Lbrist; and on tbs
rigbt Lt. erome, in adoration, witb bis lion at bis kset.
Ivo small angels in front ok tbs tbrone are singing Kr^Zrrlr, written
on a parcbment scroll. Ibis design is, as it vere, tbs last canto ok a mystic poem,
ending vitb tbe gloribcation ok tbe Holy Irinity. Vbe kate ok tbis tapestry is
unknown; it bas been engraved by tbe celebrated lVlaster ok tbe Die.
Repetitions ok tbe famous Listine tapestries are very numerous, but it vould
be beyond tbs scope ok our present vork to enumerate tbem bers. Ibe curious
