Kauffmann przedstawiający małą Krystynę Potocką (il. 3, 4). Jest to niewątpliwie jedno z naj-
lepszych dzieł malarki wykonanych dla polskiej klienteli.
Autorstwo nie budzi wątpliwości chociaż obraz jest niesygnowany. Portret powstał w Rzymie
w 1783 roku —potwierdzenie tego znajdujemy w pamiętniku Kauffmann54 i w korespondencji

portrait of the daughter of the above, little girl seven years old, on canvas 6 spans ten by 5 spans. Life zize fuli
length figurę, she is beholding the flowers which are growing by the tomb of her two sisters. The urns complete
this wonderful funeral monument which is situated in a park, or rather in a sort of wood; the girl is dressed in
white a few mourning ribbons about her costume. 100 Zacchini it was paid for on 18th November, 222 crowns,
that is 110 Zecchini".
