Mr. J. R. K. Duff's pastels, also
at the Goupil Gallery, seemed
only to have one fault—the pre-
vailing darkness of tone ; other-
wise no pastellist uses his me-
dium to greater advantage than
this artist, a draughtsman of ex-
ceptional skill.
