able stoves, ovens and stovecasing. At the
Munich Exhibition in 1908 he had a special
show of apparatus of this character executed
from his designs. The two outside
illustrations given on the next page
are of mantles executed in iron and
glazed tiles, and the centre one is of
marble and brass with strings of
glass pearls.
LONGDEN, Reginald T.,

Mr. Longden is an architect and a
designer of interior decoration and
furniture. He has carried out most
of his work in Staffordshire, and
amongst his recent important com-
missions are the Liberal Club at
Hanley (which included especial
schemes of stencilling); Schools

at Leek and Newcastle ; and a Library and
Hospital for the Corporation of Burslem.
Besides these he has designed numerous busi-
ness premises and private houses in the district.
