Street, London.
Mr. White’s garden furniture and orna-
ments, which are produced at the Pyghtle
Works, Bedford, are well known to all
interested in gardens. He has also pro-
duced some excellent furniture designed
by Mr. Baillie Scott, some of which was
reproduced in The Studio Year Book, 1906.

Mr. Whyte has occupied himself recently in
the decoration of the interiors of the great
liners. Amongst these the best known are
the “Lusitania,” “Caronia,” “Carmania”
(illustrated opposite), “ Vaderland,” “An-
trim,” “ Northbrook,” “ Copenhagen,”
“St. Andrew,” “Munich,” and the yacht
“ Sheelah.” Some of the designs have been
exhibited at the Glasgow Institute of Fine
Art. He has recently made some additions
to “The Hall” at Thornton Hall, and has
designed a house called “Ravenscourt ” in
the same district. He has also received an
important commission for the Power Sta-
tion and Factory buildings for the Singer
Manufacturing Company at Kilbowie.
