for the Catholic Church at Lincoln ; figures of C. Ban e
and Sir W. Chambers (Portland-stone) for the Victoria
and Albert Museum ; and the relief, “ Amor Victor,”
reproduced on p. 39 and exhibited at the Royal Academy
and the Franco-British Exhibition held in London last
year. An article on Mr. Gilbert Bayes appeared in The
Studio for March, 1902.

Miss Bell designs and executes metal work, jewelry, and
enamels, and has designed a window (of which a portion
is reproduced here) for Fort Massey Church, Halifax,
Canada.
BELL, R. Anning, R.W.S., 5 Pembroke Studios,
Pembroke Gardens, London.
Mr. Anning Bell has gained considerable distinction both
as a painter and a decorative artist. He has recently
designed the sgraffito frieze on the front of the Birming-
ham University buildings ; a coloured relief for the wall
decoration in the Skinners’ Hall, London (in association
with the paintings by Mr. Frank Brangwyn); and in
stained glass, two lunettes (one reproduced here) in the
memorial chapel to Lady Isabell Wilson at Warter
Church, Yorks.; and windows at Renfrew and Lamlash,
one of which is illustrated on the opposite page. A
coloured plaster panel by Mr. Anning Bell was repro-
duced in facsimile in The Studio for January 1908.
