of Arts and Crafts, Vienna, and has
followed every branch of decorative
art. Lately he has turned his
attention to mosaics and ceramics,
and the wall fountain illustrated on
page 48 is one of the most successful

Mr. Doran is a designer of wallpapers,
printed and woven textiles, and a
worker in metal and enamel. One
of his most successful wallpapers is
the “Verdura,” reproduced on page
48, which has been carried out by
Messrs Jeffrey & Co.

Street, Belfast.
Mr. Douglas is a designer of stained
glass and interior decoration, em-
broidery and damask. He has exe-
cuted several important works in
Ireland, including the painted and
leaded glass in the new Technical
Schools, Belfast; the large ceiling
light and two memorial windows
in the General Buildings, Belfast;
the large painted dome in the offices
of the Northern Banking Company,
Belfast; the dome light with the
signs of the Zodiac in the Royal Vic-
toria Hospital, Belfast; two win-
dows in St. John’s Church, Malone;
a ceiling light in the Shelbourne
Hotel, Dublin; and a staircase
