JONES, Miss Jessie C., Beaufort House, De-

Miss Jones designs and paints lustre pottery, and
some examples of her work for Messrs. Pilkington
are illustrated on page 107. These are all executed
in silver and rubv lustre.

JACK, George, 24 Station Road,
Church End, Finchley, London.
Mr. Jack designs and executes wood
carving. He is represented here by
a panel (reproduced on page 108),
which forms one of a series illus-
trating different scenes in the busy
life of the gnomes.

Mr. Joyce designs and models decorative pottery
and works in silver and copper lustres. His “ Leo-
pard ” vase, in silver lustre, illustrated on page
107, was designed and painted by him for Messrs.
Pilkington. A plaque designed by Mr. Walter
Crane and painted by Mr. Joyce was illustrated in
colour in the last issue of The Studio Year Book.

Since completing his studies at the Imperial Arts
and Crafts School, Vienna, Herr Kirschhas devoted
himself to the manufacture of porcelain and has
executed many attractive figures from his own de-
signs. He exhibited last year at the “ Kunstschau,”
where his work won general appreciation, and he
has also been represented in exhibitions in other
parts of Austria and in Germany.
