MARSHALL, Mark V., 122 Drake-
field Road, Upper Tooting, London.
Mr. Marshall is a designer of and worker
in ceramics at the Royal Doulton Potteries,
Lambeth. Examples of his decorative pot-
tery appeared in The Studio Year Book for
1907, and he has also been represented at
most of the recent International Exhibitions.
The grotesque pottery illustrated below is
executed in brown and coloured salt glaze.

The pottery of the Martin Brothers is well
known to all interested in modern
ceramics and to readers of The
Studio, an important article on
some recent developments in their
ware appearing in the November
number of 1907. Examples of
their pottery were also illustrated
in The Studio Year Book for 1908.
Their productions are particularly
interesting owing to the fact that
each piece possesses an individual-
ity of its own as regards its form,
