TEA SERVICE IN PORCELAIN
AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL

DESIGNED AND EXECUTED BY FERNAND THESMAR

TAYLOR, E. Ingram, 48 Blenheim Ter-
race., Abbey Road, London.
Mr. Ingram Taylor is a well-known designer
and painter, and has been engaged upon several
important and interesting commissions. He
is represented here by a mirror-back in satin-
wood and shell, with inlay executed by Mr. G.
Turner, illustrated on this page. Some de-
signs by Mr. Taylor for a stained glass window
and a stencil, together with a delightful draw-
ing in silver-point, representing “The Dance
of the Hours,” were reproduced in the July
number of The Studio, 1906. They displayed
draughtsmanship and decorative qualities of
a high order.
THESMAR, Fernand, ii Boulevara
Victor Hugo, Neuilly-sur-Seine.
M. Fernand Thesmar has devoted himself to the
art of enamelling and is reponsible for some of
the finest work being produced in Franee at the
present time. The tea-service in white porce-
lain decorated with enamel, which is repro-
duced on this page, is in the Luxembourg Muse-
um. His transparent enamels are of the finest
quality, and are much sought after. He sent to
the Franco-British Exhibition, held in London
last year, a large chalice, a A'ery important work
from every point of view, which was unfortu-
nately destroyed on the journey to England.
