no. 655 *, which seems analogous to this inscription, indicates clearly that το zotvov is
the dedicator.
655 x. Bracket. Built into the inner wall of the Tychaion on the west side. It is
the central bracket. Height cm.; width 58 cm. The upper corners have been
chipped off. The face is hidden by the buttress of a modern transverse arch, and the
letters could be made out only by peering in between this and the bracket. Copied
by Magie in 1909.

The name of the procurator was evidently contained in 1. 1, as in no. 655.
Atpiiotoi, the name of the community, occurs also in no. 652; perhaps, however, Αίρη[ς
should be read.
6552. Lintel. 45 a. d. Built into the wall of a courtyard near the southwest
angle of the town. The stone faces east. Length 1.20 m.; height 40 cm. The
inscription is on a raised dovetailed plate. Length of the plate (excluding the dove-
tails) 97^2 cm· ϊ height 34 cm. Height of letters 3-4 cm. Copied by Magie in 1909.
