Das folgende Bild (8.1) zeigt das Pariser
Metro-Netz in kartographischerGenauigkeit.
In der Darstellung sind die Umsteigebahn-
höfe numeriert. Eine Matrix beschreibt die
Verbindungen zwischen den Umsteige-
bahnhöfen; die maximale Zeilensumme ist
gleich 10. Daraus ergibt sich, daß nur das
Gitter (3.17), bestehend aus der Packung
von Tetraedern und Oktaedern, für die
Darstellung geeignet sein kann, wenn eine
Gitterdarstellung überhaupt möglich ist.
