Anonymus artist, Medal with Paul Petau’s portrait, 17th ce.

Cast lead medal with no reverse and a loop for suspension. On the obverse: bust-length portrait on profile of Paul Petau, to the left, in magistrate robe with the characteristic physiognomy: gaunt face, prominent cheekbones, wavy hair, slightly receding hairline, long full beard, and mustache. The medal was produced in France in the 17th century and has a diameter of 4,4 centimetres. The inscription along the margin reads:
