The role of the present study was not to bring closer
the development of draftsmanship of the years 1945—
1980 in all its entirety; hence, it is not a history of this
discipline, but rather a mere outline of its develop-
ment in the second half of the 20th Century in its full
range and the diversity of the créative aspects. This
also explains its eventual deficiencies and limitations.
