The élégance and originality ot the difpofition, the beauty
of the defign, has induced us to give in exécution fize this
ftuff, a Silk hanging of the epoch of the Regency. The breadth
is fufficiently indicated by our drawing : the prefent plate
complètes, with the page 28, the ftatement of length.
Colours. — The ftuff is white with a latin ground which
gives to the refledion a dark gridelin tone. This eff'ecT: is in-
verted by the oppofite refleéi; the heaps of flowers detach
themfelves vigoroufly on a white fatin ground. The outlines
of the large flowers, the branches and fmall foliage are dark
emerald green (black tone in our drawing); the contours of
the clufters of (mall flowers are dark blue (black outline), the
interior figured with pale blue ; — or pure vermilion (grey
contour) figured with pale pink. Blue prédominâtes in the
