About a hundred différent Modillions (ftyle of Louis the
Thirteenth's reign) embellifh the head of pages of 82 engra-
ved plates, in the book entitled the Architcâure of Vaults
or the Knowledge of jhokes by father Franz Dcrand, a Je-
fuit. We will eommunicate to our readers this feries, which
is precious by the variety of the fubjeäs. — Number 56 is
attributed to the hand ot St.-Igny, a painter and an engra-
