The oriel window of the Marizy hôtel, at Troyes, is situate
at one of the angles of the building : the figures represented
above are remarkable for their execution and more particularly
for their expression ; they ornament the base of the oriel which
assuredly is a model in the kind. In this old manor of the
Renaissance every thing and ail, from the sculpture as shows
the above specimen, to the rich wrought iron railing of the
ground floor window is remarkable.
