Das Wunder von Faras

Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (October 22, 19 68— 1970)

Exhibition of 89 objects of art (frescoes, fragments of architectural sculptures, ceramics) from
VIII—XII centuries from the Faras cathodral discovered in the course of excavation work
conducted in the years 1961—1965 by a Polish party of archeologists under the direction of
Prof. Kazimierz Michałowski.
Yenetian Painting XV—XVIII century

The already described exhibition displayed at first in tlie National Museum in Warsaw was
presented in:

Prague, Narodni Galerie (July 3 — August 3) (fig. 6—7)

Budapest, Szepmu.veszeti Muzeum (August 25 — October 15) (fig. 8—9)

Contemporary Polish Art (painting, tapestry, poster)

Teheran, Iran-Bastan Museum (May 4 — May 20)

Exhibition of 98 pictures, 32 tapestries and 120 posters representative of various trends of

contemporary Polish Art. The Curator of the exhibition was Jerzy Zanoziński who also pre-

pared the catalogue.

Kieł, Kunsthalle (June 31 — July 30)

Exhibition of 139 pictures and 10 engravings, a retrospection of Polish Painting and Graphic
Art in the period between the two World Wars presenting most interesting items in contem-
porary creative art. The Curator of the exhibition was Jerzy Zanoziński who also prepared the
catalogue.

Tadeusz Kulisiewicz. Zeichnungen aus der Sammlung des Nationalmuseums in Warschau
Berlin, Gallery "Am Liitzowplatz" (March 6 — March 31)

Exhibition of 60 drawings of the contemporary Polish artist. The catalogue was prepared by
Irena Jakimowicz.
