and time translated into the language of art, movement in space, the
dematerialization of matter and freedom in the choice of the principle of
construction reflect the succesive changes in the artist’s consciousness. Infinity,
spatial depth, a combination of the ąualities of a photographic print with
a purely painterly composition, the illusion of depth, soaring elements,
sometimes a strict order governing the superimposed forms, the forms of
abstracted figurative illusions or nondescript biological beings - all of these
typify Hiller’s graphic work. Freąuently forms that appear to be propelled by
some inner force detatch themselves, cut across the space upwards and across
