Tomb No. XI, adjoining the tomb of Apollonios, was a rec-
tangular base 4.15 m. long, 1.92 m. wide, which probably once
supported a sarcophagus. In front was a paved platform with
a seat around three sides with a back of smooth dressed stones
each with small tooled panel borders. In later times the back
of one seat was removed, and a platform made flush with the
top of the seat on which were found the remains of a smooth
dressed sarcophagus with the cover near by. Another addition
was a socket 30 cm. in diameter, 8 cm. deep in which was
probably placed a memorial stele. The rough sarcophagus in
the exedra was of much later date. In the restoration, the large
sarcophagus shown at the back is one found near by, and the
cover, carved in imitation of a tiled roof, was found in another
place. The round stele was not found, but is restored after the
analogy of many known examples.
