of the 17th Century containing several treatises byTheophrastus
Paracelsus, Bernardus Trevisanus, Guido Montanor,
Hermes Trismegistus and others. 4‘°- 3H leaves and some
blanks. With 17 finely coloured pen-drawings representing
alchemic symbols and some diagrams also in pendrawing.
Old brown calf, with armorial stamps on both sides, that on the
second side is the coat of arms of Hungary, g. e. (Binding slightly
rubbed and damaged.) Frs. 650.—
An interesting collection of alchemic treatises and recipes in two,
very legible hands.
Contains: on fol.
1—47- Auctoritates diversae de alchemia et eins materiis (In Latin). There
were quoted Arnoldus de Villa Nova, Raymundus Lullus, Geber,
Rasis, Efferarius Monachus, Hermes Trismegistus, Speculum Al-
chemiae by Bacon (?). With some Supplements in German in a later hand. Illu-
strated by 16 full-page coloured pen-drawings.
