A most important work on the history of Abyssinia, the first one to contain in authentic
Information on that country. It is the principal source of Information concerning the stay of the
Portuguese in Abyssinia during the 16th cent.
Very rare German translation printed at Eisleben, Saxony by J. Heller, who calls himself
“Mansfeldisdier Astronomus”.
Slightly foxed in places.

Rare Antwerp edition; there are aböut 60 woodcuts comprising diagrams,
Instruments, eclipses, maps, &c., five of them with extra movable discs
revolving on a pivot.
America is described: on fol. 1 vo, 3 vo, fol. 28 ro, fol. 48 ro ‘Insulae
Americae’ & is depicted in the large world-map on the folded plate, fol. 30ro
‘De America’.
Good and perfect copy, with all the revolving diagrams intact. Title
slightly browned.
