RECENT PURCHASES. " < J
This catalogue forms a supplement to No. 108, my list of more than 3000
works on Architecture and I have been careful in inserting only those titles
which do not appear in the preceding list.
My weto Series of Catalogues on the Fine Arts being thus completed for the
current season I have prepared nicely bound copies of the set which I shall
send postage paid on receipt of Marks 3. — . I have no doubt that amateurs
will appreciate this collection comprising nearly 750 pages and describing well-
nigh 12000 items.
LAUGEST STOCK OF WORKS ON FINE ARTS.
The list overleaf of my Catalogues published this season may convey a
fair notion of my Collections, also of the amount of: work done in my house.
I am devoting my neverceasing efforts to enlarging my stock by the best
Publications of All Countries and Times and am happy to say that my efforts
are appreciated by eminent Amateurs and Librarians.
VISITORS RESPECTFULLY INVITED.
Since some Amateurs are in the habit of making purchases only after
autopsy I would respectfully solicit visits to our pleasant town which is of high
interest to every scientific man and distant from London for instance a railway
ride of 24 hours only. I shall continue to attend personally to my visitors’
wishes.
LIBRARIES SUPPLIED ON THE BEST TERMS.
I do not confine myself to my specialities and to dealing only in works
advertised in my catalogues, but supply Modern Books and Periodicals at
the cheapest rates.
Leipzig being to a certain extent a universal Bookmarket, all orders can be
filled at the shortest notice and with the outmost care to every detail.
„ BOOKBINDING,
My contracts with the largest Bookbinding Establishments of our town and
the most careful superintendence to all orders enable me to supply specially
strong bindings for Works of Reference and in superior style, for Works of Art
whose Workmanship and Price will defy any competition. A trial respectfully
solicited.
DISPATCH AND PAYMENT.
All foreign Booksellers will execute orders from my catalogues and they
are entitled to a commission for their trouble and expenses.
Since most Bookbuyers prefer direct connexion I would point out that there
is no difficulty or inconvenience in obtaining Books or Plates direct from me.
Plates and also rather heavy Books are conveniently sent by mail at a cheap
rate. Big parcels are forwarded through reliable agents all over the world and
Costumhouse formalities will be attended to by them at fixed rates, where it
should be desirable. I have made special arrangments with the first Forwarding
Houses with a view to avoid disappointment.
Unlike other Booksellers I do not expect payment with the order but only
after the Buyer has convinced himself that the goods are what they have been
described and I am much pleased to say that my liberally opening accounts has
turned out to be the best policy.
Kindly pass this on to a bookbuying friend when done with it.
Printed by Emil Herrmann senior, Leipzig.
