Original edition of this excellent work consisting of an histor. introduction, the
West India pilot and the West Indies Atlas. To this work belongs the credit of
having been the first large English map-work of West-India to be absolutely relied
upon. The execution of the charts was a very careful one, based chiefly on charts
made on the spot by English naval officers during the preceding war.
