President Prasad is
retireing oszt week after
twelve years of offioe.
Throughout these twelve
years Or. Rajendra Prasad
rendered valuable servioes
to the country as Head
of the Indian Union.

Dr. Prasad had a
leading role during the
freedom struggle. He was
always with Gandhiji
during these yearn and
worked hard for the libe-
ration of the oouotry. .

As first President, of
India, Dr. Prasad has
earned a great name. He
has always inspired our
Prime Minister at oritioal
times

This great man of our
time has deoidod to stay, at
Sadakat Ashram, Patna
where he is likely to take
up sooiul work The
oountry needs bis services
in future and we pray
to Almighty for his long
life.

Five Indian firms have
wound up their business in
Tibet and returned 10 India
in recent months. Rtplying
to Mrs. Maimoona .Sultan
Mr. Nehru said in Lok
Sabha there were 45 Indian
traders including those who
returned after having earlier
wound up business in Tibet.

MUNSONG

The workers of Cin-
chona Plantation, Munsoog
got an wonderful oppor.
tunity to welcome Mr.
Oalbraith, U S. AmbaasHor
to India during the later's
visit to these areas.

The workers organi-
sed a programme of folk
songs and dances in
honour of the distinguished
guest. Mr. Qalbraitb', his
wife and Miss Angioe
Dickinson, famous Holly-
wood star, greatly appre-
ciated the programme.

Next day Mr. Oalbraith
paid a visit to Gangtok,
where he called on the -
Maharaja. He was shown
the paintings of the
Maharaja. He also saw
the Naingyal Institute of
Tibetology High officials of
India and Sikkim Govern-
ment also met Mr. Oal-
braith.
