NEPAL-CHINA TRADE
TREATY SOON
Kathmandu, July 18
Nepal will slionly sign
a trade treaty with China.
Negotiation! in this con-
nexion are ourrently going
on between Nepal's Com-
merce and Industry Mi-
nistry end the Chinese
authorities.

Nepal has already trade
relatione with Tibet go-
verned by the Sino-Nepal
Treaty of 1956.

It it learnt that Nepal's
new Foreign Minister, Mr.
Rishikesh Shah, will visit
China by the end of this
year possibly to sign the
protoool of the Sino-Ne-
pal boundary agreement.

3 YEARS DEGREE COLLEGE
FOR KALIMPONG
It has been learnt
that the proposed 3 years
Degree College in Kalim-
pong will begin to func-
tion from this session.
The College will be under
North Bengal University.
The session might be
delayed for some time.

Kalimpong, July 21
Kalimpong experien-
ced one of the heaviest
shower of the season on
20th night. There was
7.2 inohes rain in, 7 hours.
There were email land-
slides an all important
roads. No case of any
heavey landslide was
reported from any where.

CHINESE BUILD-UP IN
W. TIBET REPORTED
'" Srinagar, July 20

Unidentified jet planes
are reported to have flown
over Ladakh from the
direction of Tibet during
the last week.

Reports reaching here
from Lea in Ladakh said
tbat these unidentified
airoraft had particularly
been noticed over Chusel
air-field on the Ladaab
Tibet border. They were
reported to have flown
over Ladakh at heights
of about 25,000 ft.

- The Chinese have built
three airfields, sitable for
the landing of jet airorafts
at Rudok, Gartok and
Tesbgong in Western Tibet
near the Ladakh border
it is reliably learnt.

There has been no
change in the situation
during the last three days
in the Galwan Valley
where an Indian post was
encircled by the Chinese
on July 10.

Lett official reports
had put the Chinese at
200 to 300 yards away
from the Indian post at
certain points and 500 to
600 yaida away at other
points.

Kalimpong on 21st July.

KALIMPONG P. S. DEAD
Kalimpong, July 21
Sri D. B. Gurung,
officer in Charge of Ka-
limpong P. S. dead at
Darjeeling Planters Hos-
pital on Monday last.
Sri Gurung was suddenly
taken ill there and was
operated for some oonplica-
tibns in his Btnmaob. Sri
Gurung was a young and
energetic officer of Polioe
department.
