A graduate of the Uni-
veristy of Minnesota,
George T. Plowman stud-
ied architecture abroad in
Paris and elsewhere.
Through articles and
illustrations in The Inter-
national Studio, of which
he possesses a complete set,
he became interested in
etching, and studied in the
different print rooms of
America before going
abroad. After further
study in Continental print
rooms, Air. Plowman en-
tered the Royal College of
Engraving at South Ken-
sington, London, and thus
came under the tutelage of
Sir Frank Short. For the
last two winters he has
studied at the school, etch-
ing in England and on the
Continent during the sum-
mer months. These have
been two busy years, for
they have yielded about
forty plates, besides nu-
