N.° i. Elévation d'une escarpolette ou balan-
çoire, style égyptien.
Ce petit monument est d'une heureuse compo-
sition, la décoration est d'un bon goût. Les trois
figures assises, de chaque côté, sont sculptées en
bois, et le reste, qui forme le décor des moutans et
leur entablement, est peint en diverses couleurs.
La coquille, attelée par deux eignes, et qui forme
iâ chaise, est de tôle peinte.

N.° 2» Jeu de bascule posé Sur quatre hommes
âssis, supportant un petit globe servant pour le
mouvement de la bascule. A B vue des détails de
face et de profil, C vue du côté du siège de la
balançoire et de son assemblage.

Ces jeux sont beaucoup en usage chez les Alle-
mands , où les hommes se réunissent pour faire une
partie agréable»
Cet édifice est d'un style élégant et léger, con-
venable à l'usage de ce jeu. Le rez-de-chaussée est

Height of a siving in the egyptian (n.° t ) style.
This little monument is of happy contrivance, the
decoration shows good taste. The three figures seated
on each side the posts are sculptured in wood, and
the rest, forming (he ornamental part and the entabla-
ture, is painted in various colours. The shell, drawn
by two swans, and forming the seat, is of painted iron.

persian architecture.
These grounds are much in vogue among the Ger-
mans, where men unite in agreeable parties.
This structure is of an elegant and airy style, suited
to its use. The ground-floor is composed of two rooms,
the first is the play-ground, the second is for refresh-
ments. There are two galleries of communication A A,
for facilitating the service and for walking, that the
ninepin ground B may remain quite free. In the second
room is a little winding-stair case for the purpose of
communicating with the first floor and the terrace
Where one takes the air, and which leads to the pavi-
lion over the first room. This ninepin-ground is built
of wood and bricks»

Dieses kleine Monument ist sehr wohl compoonirt, die Ver-
zierung ist von gutem Geschmack. Die drey sitzenden Figu-
ren von jeder Seite, sind in Holtz gehauen ; das übrige, -wel-
ches die Verzierung der Säulen und ihr Gesims ausmacht,
ist mit verschiedenen färben gemahlt. Die Muschel mit
zwey Schwänen bespannt, die als sitz dient ist von ge-
mahllen Eisenblech.

N.° 2. Andere Schauckil, welche auf vier Sitzenden Figu-
ren ruht die eine ltleine Erdkugel tragen , welche zur Bewe-
gung des Schlagbalkens dient.

Grundriss, Aufriss und Durchschnitt eines Kegelspiels
von Persischer Bauart.
Dieses Spiel ist in Deutschland sehr gebräuchlich. Das
Gebeeude von Holtz und Backsteinen ist in leichtem und
niedlichen Styl. Das Erdgeschoss besteht aus zwey Saelea
der erste dient zur Zusammenkunft der Spieler, der zweyte
zu den Erfrischungen. Es stossen zwey Galerien A.A daran
welche zur Bedienung des Spiels bestimmt sind, und zn glei-
cher Zeit zu Spatziergsengen dienen , damit das Kegelspiel B
ganz frey ist. In dem zweyten Saal ist eine kleine Wendel-
treppe augebracht, welche an den ersten Stock und an die
Terrasse stœst wo man frische Luft schœpfen kann, und welch®
zum. Pavillion jibcr dem ersten Saal führt.
