PONTE MOLLE.

PAULUS EMILIUS, the censor, built this bridge, and called it by
his own name ; it afterwards received that of Milvius.

The tower was raised by Belisarius, upon the ruins of the old bridge ;
and it was rebuilt by pope Nicolas V.
This bridge is famous for the victory which Constantine here obtained
over the tyrant Maxentius.

PONTE MOLLE.
Paul EMILE, censeur, fit bâtir ce pont, et lui donna son nom;
il prit ensuite celui de Milvius.
La tour fut élevée par Belisaire, sur les ruines de l’ancien, et il fut
rebâti par le pape Nicolas V.
Ce pont est fameux par la victoire de Constantin sur le tyran Maxence.
