Scarce mountedSol upon hU glorious Car,
When ore the losty bills., and lovely plain?
Running apace, you might perceive asar
A "Troop of Amazons topost amain.
But when they nearer came uytoyour view,
Tou might discern Diana ffhd her Crew.
A careless crew of lively Nymphs, despismg
'the joyous pleasures and delights of love >
Wasting their days in rural sports devising %
Which know no other, nor will other prove.
WiAgd with desire to overtake the chase.
Away they slung with unisied pace.
'Jbeir necks and purple veined arms are bare,
And srom their Ivory shoulders to their kpee,
A Silken veflment o^re their skin they wear,
'through which a piercing eye might chance to see.
Cleft to their bodies is the same engirted,
Bedecked with pleasing ssowrs their instrtid¥
Each m her band a Silver bow doth bold,
With welljiord quivers hanging at their backs :
Whose arrows being spent they may. be bold
To borrow sreely os each others packj-
Thus are these nimble skipping Nymphs difplai d,
