II. 'to make a compound Pomatum.
Take of the Pomatum aforesaid, (without the oils)
sour pound, Spicknard, Cloves of each two ounces,
Cinnamon, Storax, Benjamin of each one ounce (the
Spices and Gums bruised and tyed up in a thin tag )
Role water eight ounces *, boil to the Consumption of
the Rose water, then add white wax eight ounces,
which mix well by melting^ strain it again being hot",
and when it is almost cold, mix therewith oil of Musk
( made by the first Section of the five and fortieth
Chapter ) then put it out, and keep it for use.
III. Another excellent Ointment.
Take hogs griese one pound, Saccbarum Saturni
two ounces, mix them well by gently melting them*,
to which add oils of Musk and Arnbergriese of each
half an ounce, let them all cool, and beat the Unguent
well in a mortar, and keep st for use.
IV. To make Vnguentum Moscbatum*
Take hogs griese one pound,Ambergriese,Mosch os
each one drachm and a half, ( ground with oil of Jase-
rain upon a marble J adeps Rosarum half an ounce
(ground with Civet one drachm ) mix all together
into an ointment which keep for use. }

Of Terfuming Powder s0
I. * IA 0 makg Powder of Oxe dung.
JL Take red Ox dung in the month of May and
dry it well, make it into an impalpable Powder by
grinding: it is an excellent Perfume without any othef
addition, yet if you add to one pound of the former;,
