Take Wax one pound, Turpentine three ounces,
Verdigriese ground,Oil Olive of each one ounce, com-
plete the work by the first Section.
IV. "To mak$ blac\Wax.
Take Bees Wax one pound> Turpentine three oun-
ces, black earth, Oil Olive of each one ounce, mix and
make Wax as aforcsaid.
V. $9 makg Wax persumed.
This is done by mixing with the Oil Olive aforc-
said, Musk, Ambergriese, or any other eminent Per-
fume, as oil of Cinnamon, adeps Kosammy or the like
one drachm, more or less, according as you intend to
have its scent extended.
VI. After the same manner you may make Sealing
wax of all colours, having what scent you please > by
mixing the scent intended,with the Oil Olive, and put-
ting the colour in, in place of the Vermilion.

CHAP. LX.
Of the various mys os making Artisicial Tear Is*
I. nPHc/ir/t Way. Dissolve mother of Pearl in spirit
X of Vinegar, then precipitate it with oil of
Sulphury Campanum ( not with Oleum Tartaric for
that takes away the splendor ) which adds a lustre tq
it i dry the precipitate,and mix it with whites of eggs-,
of which mass you may make Pearls, of what largeness
you please, which before they be dry, bore through
with a iilver Wire, so will you have pearls se^rcel^
