Awards in " The Studio" Prize Competitions

Design for the Decoration of a
Fireplace during the Summer
Months (C. V.).

This subject as set was not limited to lH
a screen or any ordinary method, but |
intended to provoke novel subnotions
for a somewhat difficult problem in the I
decoration of the home. For this
reason, no details of the existing mantel- j

piece or hearth were given, as the j. 1 i I 1 1

object was to allow each competitor to
choose the fireplace he planned to
decorate.

We regret to say that no design
sent in was deemed worthy of a prize. ^WSit'1
