shape to serve as a helping factor in form-
ing the outer mould of the work in question,
and he exploits the stone to its last ex-

Balance of decorativeness, it will be ob-
served, is one of the distinctive features of
Wederkinch’s, and one quite expects him
to hold, as he does, the view that sculp-
tured work should be attractive and pleas-
ing from whatever angle the spectator be-
