Herr Orley is a prominent member of the
“ Secession ” in Vienna, and has lately ar-
ranged the exhibitions of that Society. As an
architect and decorative artist he is well
known both in Vienna and elsewhere. His
most recent work is the building, furnishing
and decorating of a Sanatorium for skin dis-
eases in Vienna, which, from every point of
view, has proved a success. He has also de-
signed several flats and villas in various parts.
Examples of his work appeared in the Special
Summer Number of The Studio, 1906, devoted
to the Art Revival in Austria.

The work of Mr. Oscar Paterson, the distin-
guished Glasgow artist in stained glass, is w'ell
known to readers of The Studio and The Studio
Year Book, and examples of his art may be
found all over the world. Every window he
mural panel designed and produces is the result of much thought and
executed by w. j. neatby study, and bears the impress of his remark -
