The furniture of the Medieval Court forms one of the most striking
portions of the Exhibition, and has attracted a large amount of attention.
The design and superintendence of these articles are by Mr. Pugin,
an artist who has studied the leading principles of medieval composi-
tion, and ornamental design, until his works are identified whenever
they are seen. He has been ably seconded by Mr. Crage, who has
