d'origine italienne, fe diftingüent par une certaine pureté de
deffin &. par une régularité d'exécution qui con porte une certaine
froideur. Cet artifte, appelé en France par Marie de Médicis
avec le Farinaße, avait < hoifi Paris pour réfidence &. s'eft adonné
aux eompofiiions d'orfèvrerie. 5es Vafes, Trophées, Bordures de
Glace, Meubles, &c, nous fourniront ultérieurement d'intëref-
fants matériaux fur fou époque, caraftérifée par les troubles de

engraver of Italian origin, diflinguifli*themfelves by a certain
degree of purenefs and by a regularity of exécution which is not
void of coldnefs. Called in France, with the Farinafii, by Mary
of Medici, this artift ciiofe Paris as refidenee and gave Iiis time
to compofitions for jewelry. His Vafes, Trophies, Frames of
Mirrors, Furniture, ttc, will give us precious particulars on his
