FIFTH SHEET.
Ce cahier contient divers édifices et fabriques
exécutés dans le parc du Prince de Montbelliard,
en Alsace, indiqués en masse dans la première
partie du plan général sur la lettre C, sous les n.°
indiqués.
La planche XXXIII
Offre le plan, l'élévation de la façade extérieure
et la coupe de la porte d'entrée à la cour anglaise,
dite des princes.
JVota. Le plan et la coupe font connoître la dis-
tribution et décors des deux bâtimens attenans, con-
sacrés à l'habitation du concierge et du jardinier.
Ces bâtimens sont d'une construction rustique en
bois apparens et briques et de style assez pittoresque.
Cette porte de genre à la fois gothique et mores-
que, est plus remarquable par l'originalité de ses
masses et détails, que par la pureté de style; car
elle porte un caracière beaucoup trop sévère, et
peu en rapport avec celui imprimé aux édifices qui
ornent la cour à laquelle elle sert d'entrée.
La planche XXXIV
Renferme le plan, les élévations des façades prin-
cipale et latérale, ainsi que la coupe des écuries si-
tuées dans un des côtés de la cour susdite.
Ce bâtiment, d'une distribution simple mais très-
régulière et commode, est construit en bois appa-
rens et briques portés sur parpins en pierre : sa

Plate XXXIII
Offers the plan, the height of the exterior front,
and coping of the enlratice gate of the english-yard,
called that of the princes.
Nota. The plan and coping shew the distribution
and decorations of the two buildings belonging to it,
destined for the habitations of the porter and gardener.
The buildings are constructed in a rustic style, of vi-
sible wood-work intermixed with brick, and in a tole-
rably picturesque style.
This gate, both of a golhie and mores ire style, is
more remarkable for the singularity of the mass and
minuter parts than for the p rity of its style, for it is
of too harsh a characteristic! and not sufficiently in
harmony with that stampt on the structures which
embellish the yard to which it serves as an entrance.

Contains the plan, the height of the principal and
latteral fronts, as also the coping of the stables situated
on the side of the above mentioned yard.
This building, of a simple, but of a regular and con-
venient distribution, is of a mixture of visible wood-

Eingangthors zum englischen Hof, der fürstenhof genannt.
Anmerk. Der Grundriss und Durchschnitt zeigt die i'in-
theilung und Verzierung der zwey daran stossenden Ge-
bœude die zur Wohnung des Pfoe.rtners und (jjjrtnrrs be«
stimmt sind. Diese Gebœude sind in laondlichem Styl von
Holz und Backsteinen erbaut.
Dieses Thor, in Gotliischem und jVIohrischem Geschmack,
zeichnet sich mehr durch die Originalst seiner Blassen
und der Details aus, als durch die Reinheit des Styls. Ks
hat ein allzuernstes Ansehen das nicht mit den Gebaeuden
des Hofs ueberein stimmt, zu welchen es fuehrt.
