his Reader with all its Circumjlances, and
to omit nothing that relates to it. But there
is a very wide difference between an exabl
Defcription of a Country, and the Remarks
which a Traveller may think fit >to commu-
nicate in a Letter.
So that if it be Objected, that 1 have sor-
got to mention feVeral things that deferv’d to
be taken notice of, I [hall content my felf
with making this short ^eply, that, He who
Tromifes nothing, cannot be jufily accus’d
os Forgetting any thing. Thefe are fami-'
liar Letters, in which I do not in the leafi
oblige my self to infert all that might be
faid os the Places mention’d in ’em: Only
I relate what I have feen or heard from
(perfons of unquefiiorid Credit; and, in short,
what I thought fit to mention.
If it be further pretended, that I treat
